How often should you clean your bathroom

Bathrooms should be cleaned thoroughly at least once a week. However, doing a quick clean on a daily basis will make your cleaning easier in the long run. Here are a few quick ways to keep your bathroom looking it’s best in between cleans:

Pull the shower curtain closed after showering so it can dry out and so that water does not sit in the folds.

Shower heads sometimes spray unevenly because their holes get clogged with mineral deposits from the water. To remove these soak your shower head overnight using a bag filled with white vinegar. Secure the bag to the showerhead with an elastic band. Remove the bag in the morning, let the shower run and then polish with a soft cloth

Most shower curtains can’t generally be cleaned in the washing machine using hot water and laundry detergent. If you can’t machine wash scrub the curtain by hand using 10 parts water to bleach

Cleaning the toilet

To extend the effects of the weekly cleaning swish the toilet bowl every day using water and the toilet brush. When you do your weekly clean make sure that you clean the underside of the rim. Toilet bowl cleaners have an angled spout to make the application of the product easier for you.

Wipe the sink and the mirror

Throughout the week there will be many sessions of tooth brushing, wipe up excess toothpaste on the mirror or sink wipe away so that it does not harden before your next clean

Take out the trash

Bathroom bins are typically small, therefore empty them every day or couple of days to avoid them getting full and making the bathroom look messy

Keep the bathroom dry

The best way to fight mildew is to prevent it. Nothing helps delay mildew stains like a dry shower. Wiping down the shower after use can help minimize cleaning in the long run. You can also open the window, run the exhaust fan or leave the bathroom door open for 30 minutes after showering

Change linen and do a quick sweep

Bathroom linen will need to be changed every couple of days in bathrooms that are used often. There is no need to mop your bathroom floor every day unless a big mess has been made, however sweeping your floor daily is a good idea.
